New Skill: Autohypnosis - Wis
Autohypnosis (Wis) is a skill originally introduced in the Psionics expansion of Pathfinder that has since found its way here in The Hook. Below are the changes to the skill from the original printing.
Memorize: Due to the existence of the new Memory(Wis) skill, you can no longer roll Autohypnosis to memorize information.
Mind-Body Gambler: You can use mental tricks to ignore the physical limitations of your mind and body, but doing so puts you at greater risk of failure. Whenever you are about to make a fortitude or will saving throw, you can first attempt an autohypnosis check with the same DC as the effect you are rolling the saving throw against. If you succeed, you get a +2 circumstance bonus to your saving throw. If you fail the check, however, you instead take a -2 penalty to your saving throw.
Ignoring Fatigue/Exhaustion: Autohypnosis can also be used to ignore fatigue and exhaustion. When you are fatigued, you can make an autohypnosis check (DC15) to act as if you aren’t fatigued. Every hour, you can make a new check to extend this effect, but the DC increases by 2 per hour. When you fail a check to ignore fatigue or go to sleep (whichever happens first), you take 1 point of nonlethal damage per character level for every hour you ignored your fatigue. This works for exhaustion as well, but the DC begins at 25. If the source of your fatigue or exhaustion is from an effect other than lack of sleep, such as an enemy's spell or ability, the starting DC for this check is the same DC as the original effect, if higher.
Obscure Manacrystal: Whenever you wish to hide your Manacrystal 's aura from others, you may make an autohypnosis check. For as long as you concentrate on this check, others cannot detect your manacrystal's aura unless they beat your check with an opposed spellcraft check.
