CC:Session28: Home Sweet Home Report
General Summary
Regrouping from their confrontation on Roria, The Agitators met up at Mellow 's new sanctuary in Upper Gotwurm. During their celebration, a group of fungal-infected monsters attacked them, and a strange man took notes on their group's behavior. After dealing with he monsters, Dart was quick on the chase - but unfortunately, he blended into the crowd, and the trail was lost.
Vox hacked into the nearby security systems and tried to track the individual, but at best they could only figure he headed to Venomous Voltworks. Hoping to learn more, they decided it was best to sneak into the nearby lab known as Necrogate. Hoping for safe passage they decided to venture into The Mycotic Zone.
Walking into The Mycotic Zone, they discovered a portion of the city that had become completely overgrown with biomechanical fungi. Letting Boots lead the way, they quickly became lost. Luckily (?) they discovered the distorted form of an individual who led them to their hut in the acidic forest. Introducing themself as Thornwood, they offered a contract to The Agitators. They just needed to retrieve an artifact and give their "names" for passage out of the zone. Agreeing, they took passage across the fungal fields to The Sapling of the Abyss.
They ventured into The Void tainted Nerthus Tree and did battle with the land's master Grim. Despite his desire to use the artifact to restore the life of his beloved, now long passed, The Agitators killed him. Boots put a bullet into the awakening corpse for good measure.
With the deal complete, they returned to Thornwood, their new ally and the now master of The Mycotic Zone.
