Garrán an Draoi

**Garrán an Draoi** is the sacred encampment of the ard-Draoi—the high druid or priest—within the Ríocht of Koterii. Located on a natural plateau about halfway up Druids Peak in northern Koterii, the encampment overlooks the source of the Draoi’s River, a waterway integral to local spiritual practices and the flow of natural energies. As the administrative and ritual center of Tír an ard-Draoi, the region governed by the ard-Draoi, Garrán an Draoi has long served as a vital nexus between the ancient traditions of The Coilledaoine and the untamed natural landscape that defines their realm.   The site is renowned for its harmonious integration with the surrounding high mountain terrain and the fertile valleys below. Constructed from locally sourced stone and enhanced by centuries of ritual modification, the encampment functions both as a residence for the spiritual leadership and as a ceremonial hub where sacred rites, meditative practices, and communal gatherings are held. Its position at the headwaters of the Draoi’s River reinforces its emblematic significance, symbolizing renewal, the interconnectedness of life, and the divine blessings of Gaii'nus, the earth and fertility goddess revered by the Coilledaoine.
