Fyrsthólm
Fyrsthólm is the principal town and royal seat of the High Jarldom of Fyrst in the High Kingdom of Fjallheima. Perched atop a rocky promontory on the northern shore of Lake Konungsvatn, it commands sweeping views of the water and the eastern foothills of the Frozen Peaks. With a year-round population estimated between 5,000 and 6,000, Fyrsthólm serves as the administrative, judicial, and ceremonial heart of the jarldom—home to the High Jarl’s hall, the annual Thingstead, and the barracks of the king’s guard. Its economy rests on mixed farming in surrounding lowlands, the export of copper and timber, and the famed metallurgy of its smiths, whose finely decorated weapons and jewelry are prized across Fjallheima.
