Deity of Agriculture and Fertility

The Trial of the Ever-Fertile Land Given that the planet is tidally locked and thus doesn’t experience natural seasons or cycles, the trial could focus on restoring or creating life in an environment that doesn’t naturally foster it. The focus would be on the candidate's ability to shape and nurture life in an unforgiving world—one that has been stilled, where the natural rhythms of growth and decay no longer apply. It’s a challenge of creating something new and sustainable in a lifeless world, representing the power of fertility and agriculture in a frozen, barren place.   The Trial of the Ever-Fertile Land: In a desolate and featureless region of the planet, far from any natural sources of life, the candidate is tasked with creating life and establishing a sustainable ecosystem from scratch. The land is barren, the soil is dry, and no weather or natural forces help promote growth. The challenge is to imprint life onto the land, bringing forth vegetation, wildlife, and renewable sources of fertility despite the planet's stagnant nature.   Steps of the Trial:   The Awakening of Soil: The first challenge involves revitalizing the barren soil. The candidate must awaken the land, using their knowledge of growth, agriculture, and fertility to imbue the earth with the ability to support life. They might need to create artificial weather patterns, use mystical rituals, or introduce life-forging magic to change the very essence of the soil. The difficulty lies in the fact that the land has no natural cycles, so the candidate must understand and shape the land’s fundamental essence—changing it from a dead zone to something capable of sustaining growth.   The Nurturing of Life: Once the soil is ready, the candidate must grow plants and creatures from nothing. Unlike traditional growth, they must artificially create life, possibly through the use of arcane or divine powers that mold plants or animals to their will. They might need to create both crops for sustenance and wildlife for balance, showing their mastery over the creation of life and their responsibility to nurture it. The challenge is that the land doesn’t respond like natural earth, so the candidate must forge life from a blank slate.   The Test of Sustainability: The final part of the trial focuses on sustainability. The candidate must show that the life they have created will continue to flourish on its own, even without their direct intervention. This tests their understanding of ecosystems, the need for balance, and how they can create lasting fertility without constant effort. They might need to introduce natural cycles of decay, growth, and regeneration to ensure that their creations live on without being artificially sustained.   The trial is a reflection of the Deity of Agriculture and Fertility’s power to create life where there is none and to ensure its continuing growth in an environment that is frozen and lifeless. It also tests the candidate’s ability to shape and manipulate nature to work on a world that resists change.
