Charles De Renard
Charles was a prolific merchant inside the City of Glaion, though at the time it was known as Gilion. In the early 500's he had begun his trade empire and slowly became more successful as he gobbled up smaller competitors. He had an earnest passion to find a more economic route to the Ilse of Mhuzelt. Though this venture would ultimately fail for its intended purpose.
As he sailed down the eastern side of the Southern Peninsula, he found a small fishing village Known as the Grove of Foxes. He became smitten with the landscape of the area and made his home there. Moving residence from Gilion to the Grove. As he established himself inside the settlement, he earned more Notoriety as the locals grew to love his presence in the town.
He became governor of the settlement after fortifying its walls from invaders. Thus creating the Settlement known as Port De Renard. Where the city would prosper under his guidance, lending itself to become its own city state in late 580's under the rule of his children.
