Rattlesnake Jim

An odd, eccentric fellow to say the least, this ghoul claims to have been alive before the war. He boasts to hold the last complete recipe for Sunset Sarsaparilla as a former CEO and uses this secret information to create his signature wasteland drink- 'Sarsaparilla Green'. On the other side of things, Jim also says he is immune to rattlesnake bites and will envenomate himself to prove it. To most it is clear to see that there are a few marbles rolling around in his irradiated skull.

Behind the guise of a barely sentient drunk with an appetite for chaos lies a more sinister man however. Calculated and cold, this darker side tends to come out when he is threatened or dehydrated. While many would expect what lies beneath to be feral like most other human beings, RJ is special in the fact that he appears to become sharper in many aspects. Although still losing his ability to tell friend from foe, it is not uncommon for him to create elaborate and highly engineered traps in which to kill or maim those that get too close to him. There are even rumors of a secret lair within the irradiated section of the Sarsaparilla Plant, a place where he keeps his trophies and latest victims of his ire..

What is known is that he disappears for months or even years at a time, usually to heal from injuries or lie low when things are too hot on the surface. During these times the entire complex has been raided, reburied by storms, and otherwise left completely uninhabited. Each time he seems to return to rebuild anew with his important resources kept safe somewhere close by. Other times he has feigned this move to root out those he considers 'insurgents', using his vast array of hidden cameras and robotic security force to exert his will from afar..
