Ellia Fairfax Character in The Great Dust Bowl | World Anvil

Ellia Fairfax

Born in the safety and comfort of an underground oasis, Ellia was indoctrinated into the Vault 169 Sirens at an early age. Her genetic donors were selected for their natural talents in survival and marksmanship, making her an ideal candidate to join in on long range excursions to capture more male subjects for cloning. Although a filter exists to detect and remove potential dissenters from these hunting parties, Ellia had a change of heart once she was faced with some of the cruelties of her people first hand.

Conflicted with betraying her family and saving the lives of the wastelanders they had just abducted, Ellia chose to slip away during the night and strike off on her own to find perspective. During this time she traveled through Dog Town, banding together with a small group of scavengers that had made plans to excavate some promising ruins far to the north. Hopelessly underfunded, she ended up taking a position on the crew for an equal share of anything found.

When they found the intact ruins underneath the sand and the self-stocking drink and snack machines, they immediately knew they had found something important. Even though Ellia was not a scientist, everyone from her Vault learned how to use computers, allowing her to activate the dormant automatons stored inside the complex and use them as a security force to secure their new home. Now serving as a sort of warden for Nuka City she coordinates an entire militia to keep the settlement from falling victim to the numerous raider gangs and mutant hordes that would love to claim the location for themselves.
