The Gondalian Empire

There’s little that is remembered nowadays about the Gondalian Empire. Those who once had roots in the lush lands to the west of Faerun now have all but forgotten it; so long has it been since the Empire last opened their borders to foreigners.   But the land where the eladrin first stepped onto the Material Plane - a land of lush forests, sweeping plains and even rumbling volcanoes - was marked by conquest and magic. All sorts of magic.   Today, The Gondalian Empire, as it's known by its people, stands divided in three regions: the Glasstown Federation, in the mainland, ruled by its human king from his glass throne, and the Gondal Isles and the Archipelago, ruled by the fae-descended High Emperor; an emperor by name only.   Fresh out of a civil war between these two monarchs that spanned the continent and only ended after thousands of Gondalese died to a sweeping bout of the deadly Red Chills, the Empire's borders have been forced open to foreigners for the first time in centuries.   And on the horizon, hundreds of fleets of Faerûnian boats appeared.
