Writ of Ne Intraveritis

A Writ of Ne Itraveritis can be issued by the Most Illuminated Church of Bedlam or any local parish of the aforementioned. The writ must be signed by a bishop of higher in order to be officially recognized. A Count or Countess may also issue such a notice directly to the bishop of their province requesting their signature. A Count or Countess can not revoke a Writ of Ne Intraveritis, but only request a revocation from the bishops office.   A Write of Ne Intraveritis is the official declaration of "Do Not Enter" for a location deemed as "possessing of evil, nefarious, dangerous, or spirits, revenants, abominations, or aberrations as determined by the Council on Spiritual Maleficence. In addition, such locales officially considered cursed or sacrilegious will be held under this writ and its penalties." Such a location is "forbidden from habitation, transfer of ownership, or trespass by the living." A rite of excommunication, upon being deemed successful by the Council of Bishops, Most Revered, can order a building or site destroyed and cleansed and may, after a hibernation period of up to 4 years, revoke the writ in its entirety.   The details of the writ and its proper procedure is listed in the church doctrine "On Spiritual Maleficence and Proper Containment Thereof," written and ratified during the Second Council, by Grand Vox Yahtari the 3rd. Those who violate such a decree are subject to imprisonment (up to life), excessive fines, or in severe cases excommunication from the church. In all of Beldam, a most haunted continent, twenty three sites have such a decree currently applied.   There is another writ known as the "Writ of Destituo Spero," which declares a location permanently cursed and of "sacrilege most foul." Entering these places without express written permission of the church carries a penalty of death.
