Monkeys

The forests of the Spirit World contain a variety of monkeys. Some of them are recognizable from the material plane while others might be a bit more ...odd. While most are physical creatures and simply animals driven by instinct and other animalistic drives, others could be spirits with more intricate natures and goals.
Multi-Monkey
The Spiritual Travelers encountered a Monkey species on Nurend 04, 308 during their first venture into Tympi's Forest. The species encountered (which has been dubbed "Multi-Monkey") was about the size of a human child and resembled a gibbon. Both of the monkeys encountered were swiftly slain for future study by Kaswink and Hysteria. Upon further examination, it was revealed that one of them had an extra pair of arms (including hands, forearms, elbows and arms) extending from about midway between its shoulder and elbow. The other had an extra pair of legs (just the knee, shin and foot) extending from its knees.   Kaswink has dissected one of these monkeys and also completely butchered it with expertly controlled hands. She's managed to remove everything but the bones for use in experimentation by the group.   On the night of Nurend 04, 308, Kaswink butchered the other money for stew meat and additional research. Its various pieces being stored for future observances. After eating the stew, anyone that consumed the monkey flesh did find that it made them a bit more dextrous and strong which proved useful for the coming challenges the next day.
Candy Cane Angler Monkey
Hides in the trees while lowering lures of Candy Canes (of various flavors, but mostly peppermint) to the forest floor. Creatures that take the bait are dragged up into the trees as they find the candy cane to be far more sticky than originally anticipated. This sticky substance can also cause paralysis making the meal all the easier to enjoy.   The monkey itself looks like your average Macaque with the addition of string-like tendons extending from its arms and chest which connect to their lure. Their apparent “mouths” are actually just a calming imitation of typical monkey anatomy and are incapable of opening. Their true mouths are located on their torsos which open and reveal rows of incredibly long and sharp teeth. Their prey is dragged up with their line and consumed by these true mouths.   During the events that occurred on Nurend 05, 308, the Spiritual Travelers happened upon the candy cane lure of this particular type of sapien. Hysteria was the one to spot and grab the mentioned lure which lead to them noticing that it was far stickier than anticipated and being unable to let go. The rest of the group was able to switfly rescue Hysteria and drag the monkey from its tree.   Kaswink knocked it out and has been carrying it with her since with hopes of domesticating it to some unknown end.
After the Spirit of Christmas was freed this monkey returend to a less Christmassy state having lost its candy cane which was replaced with a collection of berries. This is likely its usual lure. Kaswink currently has plans to train this monkey to howl when it sees potential trespassers.
