The Vorpal Hand
Based on planet Thrassalan in the Plork Nebula
Current leader, "Thermius Rex"
This syndicate filled the power vacuum left by UPS's exit from Thrassalan after the environment could no longer sustain UPS VIP big game hunts. Founded generations ago by the Rex familial line, the Hand has held control of Thrassalan through fear and by putting in place puppet authority figures. Everyone from the local security service, to the energy dome administrators are in the Hand's grip. The Hand's primary objective is to grow the power of the family at the expense of anyone outside the Hand.
The leadership of the Hand, the "Palm", is passed down through the Rex family tracing its blood line back to the first Palm. Other Rott'la members of the hand form the "Fingers", the method by which the Palm's wishes are made manifest in the world. Often identified by the ring worn on the four fingered Rott'la hand. The Hand attempts to keep its violence under wraps, when an example is needed... it is public, gratuitous and bloody.
The Hand is adept in smuggling, extortion, slavery and being trafficking, murder for hire, as well as many other shady businesses and fronts.
Currently engaged in a rivalry with The Franbus Dynasty of Hilorix for control of the nebula.
