Thrassalan

A world located in the Plork Nebula, orbited by several small uninhabited satellites.

Desert stretching from horizon to horizon. Deep orange skies caused by sand trapped in the atmosphere. Vicious dust storms make landing from orbit dangerous. Any landing approach must be carefully timed to take advantage of a break in the storm. Not uncommon for ships to be unable to land or take off for full days as storms sweep across the planet.

The surface is bathed in constant high levels of UV radiation and sand carried in the smallest of breezes could strip paint off steel. Single city on the northern section of the planet, an island of relative safety in a sea of sand. Protected by an energy shield which filters most external hazards. Inside a population of outsiders rejected from various surrounding sectors, those who don't want to be found, or those who wish to conduct business without prying eyes. Large market district with numerous shops and watering holes, surrounded by slums.

Last recorded by UPS as one of their game preserves. UPS Executives and other VIPs would be brought to Thrassalan to hunt the local fauna (such as the mighty Gor Bigg, and Leaf Worm).
Abandoned many cycles ago after the population of big game could no longer support large scale hunting (and the untimely death of the bassist for the bad "Quantum Strike", and the 32 members of their entourage. Killed while attempting to ride a Leaf Worm after excessive consumption of RoxiKain during a hunt in the Rivarian Gash, a local landmark on Thrassalan).

Following UPS's exit, the UPS Environmental stabilizers failed causing an ecological collapse. Turning a once lush planet into desert wasteland. Many of the big game have gone extinct in this new environment, some have adapted to become even more deadly.

Rumor of Thrassalan becoming a trade hub post UPS exit. A hive of scum and villainy.
