Intergalactic Banking Conglomerate

The Intergalactic Banking Conglomerate is the successful collaboration between humanity and the Vetykan race. Vetykans are hydrogen-based aliens that inhabit the gas giant Lythos. During the Second Breath, humans made contact with the Vetykans and learned their capacity for long-string mathematical calculation. Working with their human allies, they formed the Intergalactic Banking Conglomerate. The organization is unique: while the humans would interface with the banking clients, the Vetykans would hold the accounts – literally. Each individual Vetykan would be the keeper of all information about one account. The scheme was so exciting to the Vetykans that the entire population of Lythos joined in the “bank game”, as they called it, and the humans that administered it became obscenely rich.
The Intergalactic Banking Conglomerate is a member in good standing of the Imperial Merchants Guild, and CEO Absalom Carter holds the rank of Merchant Baron in the Empire. Carter, a charismatic human nobleman who spends half the year on Hesperides and is well-known on the intergalactic party circuit, is heavily favored to be selected as one of the two Trader Dukes who will elect the next Emperor.
