Elector Prince Kuro Hidora, Master of the Dracos Shogunate
His Imperial Highness
The only non-human Elector Prince, Kuro Hidora is a lagart. From his House's throne world on Kaihuta, the Hidora rule over nearly a hundred different systems along the Hydian Way, from the Imperial Central Sector to the outer rim.
The Hidora Clan has seen dramatic increases in power during the past Dark Age, going from minor noble family to elector princes. While the improvement of the status owes mainly to the re-discovery of the Hydian Way and the systems it touches, the Dracos Shogunate has also increased its holdings through subterfuge, manipulation, and sometimes outright military force. While their sector may not be the biggest or richest, the Shogunate’s militia is the strongest of the noble houses.
For all that they espouse a strict honor culture, the Hidora Clan are not above using unorthodox methods to achieve their aims. It is rumored that the Hidora have secret connections to the Vaar Thal Syndicate (an intergalactic criminal organization). This rumor has been whispered about by smugglers and lawmen alike for ages, but until someone comes up with some solid evidence that will hold up in Imperial Courts of Law, the Hidora maintain their claim of no involvement.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Kuro Hidora was born in his clan's birthing chamber on Kaihuta, and raised by servants in the royal palace. As a child, he was trained in warfare and politics, and subjected to frequent examinations, some of which were violent and lethal to the children that did not pass. Hidora excelled at every examination and was looked on as a likely heir to the Dracos Shogunate's throne early in his life.
Education
At puberty, Hidora was sent to the Shogunate's military academy. After graduating, he served in the Draconian military until young adulthood. While his siblings chose to enter the Draconian space navy or the ground military forces, Kuro requested an appointment to military intelligence. During his term of service, he was credited with luring the pirate band The Blood Thorns into a trap and destroying them.
After his term of service ended, Hidora and the five other finalists for heir to the Shogunate throne were sent to universities across the empire outside of the principality. Hidora chose Concordia University on Ulysses, where he studied military history and art.
Employment
After his university graduation, Kuro Hidora returned to military service for a time, transitioning into governmental service. He eventually was raised to Minister of External Affairs. When the last Master of the Dracos Shogunate, the Elector Princess Shalla Hidora died, Kuro and his siblings traveled to the Challenge Pits on Wakusekai. Kuro defeated and slayed his siblings, leaving the Pits as the acclaimed Master of the Dracos Shogunate.
Since his ascension, Kuro Hidora has worked diligently to strengthen and expand the Shogunate holdings.
