Arrogant on the outside, nervous on the inside - Chief Executive Gilran Chee is in many ways the quintessential corporate officer among the Foga KaLa.  Having pushed and wheedled his way to the top echelons of power in the Commerce Combine, Chee now finds himself in charge of a company that is hidebound and resistant to change at a time when the entire galaxy is embracing change. 
While Chee talks confidently about his chances at becoming a Trader Duke and therefore an Elector for the next Imperial Succession, circumstances appear to be at odds with his claim.  The KaLa had been spending a great deal of time on Petrion and Hesperides, wining and dining many of the first and second tier companies.  However, recently he has returned to Combine headquarters on Cato Iokota, and even the excitement of the latest Great Quest has not prompted him to reemerge.
