The Galaxy Man Found

Roughly two decades after a war that almost eliminated humanity and replaced it with something vile, the Confederacy of Mankind is forged through the blood, sweat, and tears of its people. All humans find their homes under this banner, joining together to create a better world for themselves and any who come after. Factions vying for power compete to pick up whatever shreds of civilization a retreating Republic of Terra left behind, while some seek to return to their mother country's rule.   While the Republic of Terra retreats, it does not do so out of weakness: but respect. The Plague War ripped apart the stars, leaving scorched planets in its wake and giving an entire generation reason to be wary of what lies not beyond Humanity's influence, but within. The generation that fought in the Plague War seeks to recover the strength of the Republic of Terra, to reunite and reconquer; the generation that is born in this chaos seeks strength through diversity. New nations grow, factions rise, and entire ways of life explode into a vacuum.   While a cultural battle rages, so does a very visceral series of conflicts. Some factions wish to snuff out the Republic of Terra, the latter having never ceased the war drums despite its age and defeat. Guns, ships, and armor is cleaned, constructed, and donned in equal measure as mankind develops through the one way it's learned: conflict. Conflict borne from hope, with dreams at the backs of those who fight the hardest to raise their banners proudly.
