The organization is lead by the Head Council, which is made up of scientists, security officers and bussinessmen affiliated to Volt-Tek. They assign branch leaders and decide which projects will get priority funding and which will be abandoned.

They promise political neutrality and will enforce most local laws on their outposts, unless the local security chief disagrees.

Volt-Tek posseses massive amount of assets, be it paramilitary units, heavy military tech, dyson swarm stations, orbital stations, research outposts, manufacturing facilities or simple sale centers.
These assets are scattered across the entirety of inhabited space, making Volt-Tek's merchandise the most available of all.
History
The company was founded in 2038 in Ulm and started out as a minor tech company. It originally focused on ballistic energy weapons such as rail guns or coil guns, but later on started experimenting with mass manipulation technology. This caught interest of several physics students, who wanted to help with research and were taken (most likely because Volt-Tek's research wasn't taken seriously among professional physicists).
After several years, in 2050 the research yielded the Higgs Mass Manipulator (commercially known as Artificial Gravitiy Generation System). This was an enormous success in the company and would finnaly earn it global recognition.
By 2054, the company has recruited enough physicists to increase the research efficiency tenfold. The world's first warp drive was invented. Four years later, the technology would become commercial.
