The Passage of the Aeboqar Myth in The Fruit of War | World Anvil

The Passage of the Aeboqar (AY-boh-CARR)

"The Passage of the Aeboqar" is a creed deeply-seated in the Keen of all Azgorach. It is seemingly intrinsically known by all Azgorach rather than being written down or taught as a religious doctrine: they call it 'instinct-prophecy'.   "Aeboqar" is commonly interpreted as "door-opener", and refers to an individual that will draw passages between and through the planes of existence in order to the lead the Azgorach to a new land of plenty (i.e., more souls/Ega). The species of this individual was not specified, and the myth has little other detail.   Though the 'door-opener' moniker is vague and was thus interpreted by many to be Xa'aroch when he was summoned through a more literal esoteric gateway by warlocks prior to the War of the Six, this is not the full truth.

A Rough Translation of the Instinct-Prophecy

"Unto Us, the Aeboqar.
When this Place is barren, sour,
when We hunger and rend Our flesh,
They shall part the Dark Ways
and We shall journey in Their wake.
Unto Us, abundance."
