Coelle

The Lady of Souls is the third of the Three Ladies of the Realms. Her realm is that of the underworld, destiny, fortune, death and spirit. She is one of the Brides of Batu and was also revered by Elfkind.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Coelle is said not to have a physical form, but rather lives among the cosmic energy of all life and the stars. When sighted in visions or during death, she is usually depicted as a being made entirely from stars, like a constellation.

Personal history

According to the Descendants of Batu, Coelle once served and ruled the deaths of all beings, with little heed to physical events or needs. Batu courted her as the third Lady.
At first, after gaining the trust and loyalty of Gaia and Alta, Batu thought that he did not need the last Lady's favour. After he bargained with the elves and their arcane gods for the safe passage of his mountain tribe humans, Batu was struck dead by their magic.
It was in the underworld that Batu sought an audience with Coelle. She took pity on him, as a god struck down and dead, and began to fear for her own life and the lives of her sisters, Gaia and Alta. He bargained with Coelle that if she returned him to life, he would spend the remainder of his days seeking out and destroying necromancy, as well as all others who pervert the course of Coelle's destinies.
Coelle agreed and lent her power to Batu during his war against the elves.
