Silik
Siliks are a sentient race that are one of the few silicon based life forms in the galaxy.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Siliks have a unique body layout compared to most other sentients, lacking the common bipedal body plan of most species. Instead siliks have a radial body plan similar to Old Earth starfish, with their stocky bodies supported on three thick legs. Small manipulator limbs unfold from under the silik head and provide them with adequate tactile dexterity for use with standard technological interfaces. The silik head is a broad wedge-shaped protrusion that juts from between two of their three legs, and contains an array of glassy glowing eyes that provide decent eyesight. Heavy crystalline growths project from the back and feet of a silik which provide it with durable armour to protect itself.
