KLF M-6 "Carnifex" Magnetic Pistol
This high powered pistol utilizes the relatively simple but effective method of using magnetic fields to accelerate small metallic projectiles to speeds faster than a chemically propelled projectile can reach. Capable of damage and range of engagement comparable to more primitive full-sized rifles, this pistol solidifies its place as an expensive but worthwhile investment for both primary and sidearm usage.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Solid ammunition clip is fed into the back of the pistol just above the hand grip. Rounds feed forward until they drop into the firing chamber located in front of the trigger. Magnetic coils then activate pulling the round through the barrel, deactivating just as the round reaches the muzzle allowing the round to continue out of the barrel. The power supply for the coils is an intergrated rechargeable Type A Power Cell, which holds enough power of over 10000 shots.
