Nocturne Giants

Nocturne Giants are large (thirty feet tall) blue-gray skinned humanoid monsters that are native to Eolilgeten. They often have shaggy hair and beards that was stuck with branches, leaves, and the remnants of their last meal. The also wear the skins of their past meals, slowly crating a patchwork of clothing that forms their garb. Nocturne Giants are blind in light and typically only hunt during the dark cycles on Eolilgeten. Nocturne Giants, even in the dark, have poor vision and rely on their senses of hearing, smell, and touch to locate their prey. Nocturne giants will eat anything that moves (and typically eat it while it is still moving), preferring meat but willing to settle for plants and berries if no meat is available. Nocturne Giants tend to eat only forest animals but they make no qualms with eating any Swift that wander into the woods during the dark cycles. They use their massive size and strength to overtake and overpower any prey they encounter, with only Swif Muses being able to withstand them. Nocturne Giants exist only in Eolilgeten and from their skin coloration, it is legend that they came from the Sky Above the Trees as punishment to the Swift for giving birth to non-Muse children. These rumors are further compounded by the fact that many non-Muse Swift that are sent into the forest to live are hunted and preyed upon by the Giants. Nocturne Giants are prolific throughout the forests of Collegiate and it is often an unofficial right of passage for young Swift to show their magical prowess and kill a Giant. However, the Nocturne Giants are not good for eating and not particularly conducive to having them as trophies so often these corpses are left in the forest and act as habitats for other forest creatures. It is unknown whether Nocturne Giants live in communities or are eve aware of each other outside of the occasional mating when opposite sex Giants meet. Their patterns of travel seem random and the only constant is that they avoid the light.
