Metisians

Metisiot is an unusual world because all of those who are inhabitants, known as Metisians, are magically inert and cannot use magic. Yet the world itself is the third most potent, following Shimmer and then Eolilgeten. Due to the magic influence on the realm and the inhabitants’ inability to harness it, the Metisians’ forms are highly affected by magic, often resulting in unique and unusual skin pigments and appendages. It is not uncommon to find Metisans with green, blue, yellow, or even pink skin tones. The skin tones are subtle (not neon) shades but Metisians also have unique physical characteristics such as small spines, frills, patches of scales, etc. that do not offer any abilities or advantages beyond aesthetics. Because of their time on Metisiot, Metisians have high resistance to magical effects. Metisians cannot be Muses. Metisians are strongly independent people, often preferring to rely on themselves rather than Muses. Metisians are highly versatile workers and fighters. Metisians are open to working with any other Metisians but prefer those from their own village or city. Metisians tend to be wary of trusting Muses, due to their long history of being oppressed and ruled by them. Otherwise, Metisians can have any sort of demeanor.
