Honey Water

An incredibly sweet and thick natural liquid found on Metisiot. It has the consistency of somewhere between honey and water (hence the name) with a golden color that can be found in certain trees, plants, and springs located in areas of magic that brush against the Mists of the Realms. Honey Water is typically ingested through regular drink and its potency can be diminished by adding other liquids or missing it with other ingredients. Ingesting honey water results in relaxed muscles, releases of calming hormones, and can relax any tightness caused from stress or other diseases. At its least potent, Honey Water can relax and soothe a person. Honey water is often mixed into cakes and other sweets to help calm children and bring comfort to those in time of strife. Higher potencies help those with sleep problems and nightmares, can soothe some aches (though it is not a healing agent), and induce comas in the most dire of medical situations. The dream state cannot be induced in someone who is non-magical but they can experience the other benefits from honey water. However, much of the honey water cultivated on Metisiot is reserved for the Muses for training and healing. Metisians do not typically have access to the honey water on their own terms. Pure honey water, however, has the ability to induce a vivid dream state wherein any person who drinks the honey water is “transported” to a dream realm. They can interact with anyone else who has drunk honey wine at the same time. Honey water is often used as a training tool since people can drink the honey water and then duel each other with full intention without fear of actual injury or death. Those who die n the dream state of honey water simply awaken from their dream.
