Great Demon Codex

Before the time of the great war between order and chaos, it was said that the great library of Nightfall contained every book and codex eer known on every topic every known and would be known. Included in these archives was the Great Demon Codex – a vast catalogue or all knowledge known of demons, their weaknesses, and their origins. It was gathered by the great scholars who worked together to determine the extent of the dmeons power. However, the Legion of Chaos abused this knoeledge and implanted a demon using this codex in the first Demon Master, the human Gareth. In his fury and strive for power, he laid waste to much of the great library and stole the demon codex so that none would know the extent of a demons powers except for him. He used the codex only once, when he implanted a demon into his young apprentice. But when the Legion of Order came aupon him and threanted to trap him forever. He ordered his demon to swallow the codex where it would remain untouched and unsoiled. When they finally came for him and cast him out, the demon codex was no where to be found. Once cast into Murk City, the demon returned the codex but using its trength, overwhelmed Gareth. As it grew in power, it studied and absorbed the knowledge of the demon codex. When it had memorized veeyrting, the demon almost destroyed the book but its time as a human had made it sentimental, even with something as simple as a book. But fearful that those who could use the power against it by reading the book, it too swallowed it and there it remains, in the belly of the demon known only as the Black Bear. Rumors circulated that the demon codex or copies of it exists and it is unkowne whether this is true for only the Black bear knoes the location of the true demon codex. Spread It has spread throughout the relams but it is little more than a whisper now since demons are rare and the ability ti implant them is thought to be lost.
