Demons

Demons are the remmnants of corrupted spirits that take solid form. Lesser demons exist freely but many have bee banished and are easily detroyed. Greater demons are bound a Muse, who are then considred Demon Masters. Deomans bound to Muses are beholden to the will and lifeforce of the Muse: they must obey all orders and intentions. However, Deonds also feed of the magical force that sustains the Muse; as the Muse’s power increases, so does the power of the Demon. As power increases, the Demon can assume different forms, usually an advancement of their orginal form (examples below). Once the Demon has reached full strength, it will attempt to consume their Muse. Demons can simply kill their Muse and then exist freely. However, most Demons attempt to take control fo their Muse’s body so they have access to the Muse’s magical abilities as well. The combnation of magical power and demonic power is devsatating. Kumari is the only known Demon Master to have assilimated fully with therir demona and to mainatin ther own will. Demons are increble durable and very diffiut to defeat. Past demons have been defeated by cooperation of dozens of Muses or expluson to other relams. Kumari was the first to take on her demon single-handely and be victorios. Most demons are not named with the exception of Kumari’s demons. Notorious Demons Conall- demon to Kumari. Conall’s primary form is that of a Gaian house cat. His attack form is that of a yonung lGaian lioness. His rider form is that of a larger male Gaian lion. His final Demon form is that of a half lion, half Minotaur creature derived from Kumari’s basic knoeldeg of Greek mythology. After Kumari’s death, Conall is freed but killed by Otano wielding the Piercing Light. The Raven- an incredibly powerful free demon that wa sonce beholden to the Demon Master Swif, Cackle. When the Raven attempted to consume Cackle, she and the Legion of Order banished it to the realm that would become Murk City. While confined to Murk City, the Raven found the one source of power it could find, the banished Demon Master Gareth and his demon. Bonding with the othe two, the Raven grew in power. It developed the Red Guard to contorl the masses and amassed enough power to asusme the form of a collossal raven. It was ultimately defeated by Kumari, who led a mob of Murk Cty denizens to battle, using the Piecring Light to weaken the Raven which crated openings for magical attacks.
