Crown of the Legionnaire

The Crown of the Legionnaire is an ancient artifact dating to very first Legionnaire. Once a Legionnaire is chosen, either by their successor or by a Legion of Order, the Legionnaire must sit upon the Silver Throne and be coronated by the Crown. The Crown is also silver but takes the shape that matches the personality or magic type of the wearer. The Crown can appear at anytime the Legionnaire chooses and will form around the head in the shape designated for the Legionnaire. When the first non-Muse, Otano, sat upon the Silver Throne, the Crown did not appear and Otano refused to have one crafted for him or accept the Legion of Order’s reluctant offer to craft one for him. The Crown of the Legionnaire has taken the following forms: The feathers on the back of a eagle’s neck that flowed and shaped to the neck of its wearer, Eagle Feather When Kumari rose to the become Legionnaire, the Crown took the form of spindles of lightning twisting around each other like brambles of a bush. Gareth attempted to make his own crown but could not induce the metal to come at his call so instead he simply made a plain black steel band and wore it instead until he was disposed by the Legion of Order. Mechanics & Inner Workings The Crown does not imbue any special powers or abilities upon the wearer but does symbolize their position as Legionnaire. It is unclear how the Crown works or the magical underpinnings behind it – it is assumed that the Legion of Order enchanted some silver so that it would shape itself and bond with whomever is the Legionnaire at the time. It is unclear whether the Crown will appear for those who are not officially appointed Legionnaire. However, it is known that the Crown will only appear at the command of someone who is a Muse that sits upon the Silver Throne.
