Black Rock Castle

Situated in the far north is the old Black Rock Castle. It was originally a mountain of pure obsidian that would reflect the sun rays powerfully during the warm season of the Wildlands. It soon became the headquarters for the Legion of Choas whose fisrt act of corrputon was to gut the mountain into their castle. They left the catsel unfinished after the Legionnaire of Order began to act aggressively towarsd their effirts. The castle was left unfinsihed up to the Legion’s eventuall explusion form the catsle. The castle remains as an monument o eh evil of the Legion of Choas. The sun still reflects off the smooth blakc surface of the obsidian that akes up the catsle but the new sharp edges and shape of the castle has permanently altered how the sun affects the land, causng issues with growing seasons and plant life. The Black Rock Castle is not guarded by conventional means. It is considered cursed and it avoided by most Wildlings, except for the occasional youth daredevil. Before the castle is flat plain where no grass grows and no animals wander. Instead, it is dotted with foot high stones. They are all grave markers for the biggest mass garev in Wildlings history. A natural part of the Wildlands landscape are the black obsidian mountains. They reflect light from the sun and create pockets of well-heated areas on the land. However, when the Legion of Chaos took up residence in the Wildlands, they gutted and sculpted one of the mountains using Micah’s dragon form and created a castle to act as the headquarters for the Legion of Chaos. The first to take up residence was Micah after the fall of Gareth. He spent his time licking his wounds and gathering armies of people to come and work for the Legion of Chaos. He slowly grew his following, gathering people from across the realms. While they make their presence quite known, the sheer volume of power they have has dissuaded the Legion of Order from ordering any sort of attack. Further, it would violate their tenets of non-intervention since the Legion of Choas was largely quiet after Gareth fell. The catsle is narrow and tall, constantly of several tall spires that are perched high in the cliff tops. It is almost impossible to reach the castle without flying and then you are easy to spot. The castle’s geometry adversely altered the natural pattern of the sun’s rays on the land, causing devastation to parts of the land. The Legion of Chaos mainly used their castle as a fort and base to gather forces, retreat after being defeated, and as a main staging ground for their rise to power. The base of the castle also acts as n informal base camp: their armies of Inerts, Muse sympathizers, and hordes of demons and Malignants are often camped at the base, acting as guards and deterrents to anyone seeking to approach the castle. Few people have seen the inside of the castle and those who have are often never seen again cas they re either recruited into the armies or disappeared within the walls. The castle towers in the middle of a vast plain and has a cleat sight on all approaching
