Pro Re Vindicanda Prose in The Fourth Age of Tel | World Anvil

Pro Re Vindicanda

Pro re vindicanda, Iudex Ator, utinam vindicem!

Tua ultio ut malleus in meas manus fiat!

Cum hoc malleo, ut noxam omnem ulciscar.

Hominem nequam castigabo.

Sceleratum persequar.

Vitiosum puniam.

Nefandum pinsam.

Hic oro, Ator, dator legis!

An English translation:

Judge Ator, may I avenge that which must be avenged!

May your vengeance become a hammer in my hands!

With this hammer, may I avenge all injury.

I shall castigate the wicked.

I shall pursue the criminal.

I shall punish the depraved.

I shall scourge the impious

This I pray, Ator, giver of law!
