Collegium Arcanum

Founded after the events that led to the fall of the Rexan Empire, the Collegium Arcanum is term given to the underground community of mages that continue to study and practice Philosophia Arcana despite the societal taboos surrounding thaumaturgy.

Structure

The Collegium doesn't have any sort of official structure, instead being a loose community of magic-users who share certain cultural norms and approach to magic. A small, but influential, minority of mages of the Collegium have organized themselves in larger secret societies, but the majority practice their art as hermits or itinerate scholars who are content to either live in solitude or with a worthy apprentice or two.
