Ravera "Vera" Moonglade, Twilight Cleric of Selune
A child blessed by twilight, who abandoned her life of privilege to walk her own path.
Lady Ravera Moonglade (a.k.a. Vera)
Born into the lap of luxury, Ravera Moonglade grew up with everything that one of noble upbringing could ever want. Nice warm meals every day, new and fashionable clothing, the best teachers/tutors that her parents could find and such. It's every child's dream to grow up in such a lavish and sheltered environment, right? Too bad no one ever really accounts for the expectations and strict rules that came from being born into such a life.
After all, any with noble or royal blood were required and expected to do better than the average person in everything. Were expected to hold a curtain amount of behavior and stick to such strict rules on what they could do. What hobbies they could have, who they were allowed to make friends with etc. And if one wasn't willing to stick to those expectations and rules? Well, you became a disappointment, faced punishment, were forced to train or study harder, forbidden from seeing said people or worse. Especially when you were the only child and Heir to your family.
That was the sort of life that as she grew older, Ravera had grown to hate. She had so little freedom and as time went on her parents seemed to refuse to treat her as an adult. No, she was still just a child in their eyes that didn't know any better no matter what she tried to tell them. Or how much she tried to convince them of something they just didn't want to hear about. After all, how could a girl who hasn't ever been allowed to leave their property unescorted or only lived a few 100 years know anything? Who insisted on attempting to make friends with the lower class that she met or were hired? Who had the naivety to have fallen for a simple servant boy not 20 years ago? While her parents had to go and constantly remove such distractions and choices from the equation to clean up her mess?
The course of her life changed as she began to have dreams and visions from from the goddess Selûne. Did her parents believe her? Of course not, why would a god want to send their child off into the possible dangerous world where they couldn't keep her under control or leashed? It was just some silly dream from a girl that had not learned to grow up yet, a silly child's dream. Or attempt to escape an arranged marriage that she didn't want and so on...... Their excuses were endless. So, after yet another argument with her parents who refused to see things in the same light as she did. Ravera came to a decision.
She was done letting her parents dictate her entire life and if the vision she had been given wasn't a good enough reason for her to take action, then what would be? It was on that same night that Ravera gathered up what items she could carry and believed to be useful and fled her home before anyone else was the wiser. And would eventually run into the young Tiefling Bix, who would not only save the sheltered runaway from an unfortunate situation. But prove to be her first friend on her journey to make a new life for herself. Assisting Ravera in learning how to survive and better conceal her upbringing while in the real world. Giving birth to “Vera.”
