Moriki, Barbarian of the Totems
This quiet soldier seeks a lost mentor to rejoin a way of life she once lost
Abandoned or orphaned at birth no one knows what happened to Moriki's parents. She was taken in by a mercenary group called " the Band of the Prancing Marmot" where she bonded with the only person she could call a "father figure" Kurik. She lived happily with the Marmots, learning to fight came naturally to her as she tended to be a little on the bloodthirsty side. She wasn't so good with her words but she was always clear about her intentions when she brought out her axe. One day the Marmots were challenged by another merc group, "the Band of the Beguiling Weasel" and an intense battle happened. The fight waged on and the Marmots took some casualties but managed to win the fight. However, Moriki was blinded by a blood rage and stormed off after the Weasel band as they tried to flee. She chased them deep into the woods and lost their trail. She started to turn back but was unable to find her way out of the forest because she's not the smartest and forgot which way she came from. Lost for days she wandered until she came across a small village. Not knowing if she would ever see the Marmots again she gave up trying to find them and instead started doing odd jobs for the villagers to earn her keep. Just like the mercenaries who raised her she mostly cared about killing things and getting paid. And being an independent merc for hire was working well for both of those so she started travelling from village to village doing the dirty fighting work that no one else wanted to. She enjoyed the killing and the pay but she was lonely. Moriki missed her rag tag Marmot family, and still hopes she will find them one day. When she overheard other adventurers talking about taking up a job together in a local inn, she thought maybe she should try working with others to see if that would help ease some of the loneliness she felt from losing the only family she knew.
