Personal history

Guisatz' unusal name comes from the fact that his fathers life was saved by a gnome and in gratitude he named his next child after him, becoming more commonly known as Hatrack in his developmental years due to being the tallest member of his family.   As the second son of a clan head Hatrack was considered the 'spare' and therefore had a great amount of freedom in his life, his relatively non-descript features allowed him to blend in well with others and eventually he fell in with what his family considered to be the wrong crowd.   Disowned and cut off from his former wealth and status he joined a Thieves Guild being welcomed for his natural abilities at sleight of hand and blending into crowds. The Guild taught him many tricks and soon he was living a lifestyle that rivalled his wealthy upbringing.   Hatrack has a keen eye for fine clothing and usually presents himself well, he has also retained a portion of his 'noble' upbringing giving him the ability to rub shoulders with middle and upper classes of most cities. Of course when times call for it he could be mistaken for a street dweller and his card games are second to none.
