Cult of the Star's Flame
The Cult of the Star's Flame is a secret organization that worships The Bale-Star as a deity. They conduct vile and despicable acts in their rituals to call upon the favor of the Bale-Star.
Members of this cult identify each other through signs and markers of white cloth. If they are feeling confident in their safety, they will often wear as much white as they can.
Structure
This cult is organized into small cells that take it upon themselves to commit heinous acts of murderous torture. Individuals known only to the leaders of these cells will often provide the cell with opportune targets for their torturous practice of "release".
Culture
Those that follow the tenants of the Star's Flame practice all kinds of depravities and cruel tortures to gain enlightenment and the favor of the Bale-Star.
It is common practice when hunting new "offerings" to make several attacks that miss before capturing the targets. This is held to ripen the fear of the "offering", making it a more pleasing gift to the Bale-Star.
Assets
The cult draws membership from all walks of life. As such, many cells of cultists are well funded by the merchants or nobles amongst their ranks.
History
If the word of discovered and questioned cultists are to be believed, the Order of the Star's Flame was begun some thirty years ago when Ceal Gach began recruiting followers to join them in worshiping the Bale-Star.
Cosmological Views
Pain and suffering are brought down upon the world when the Bale-Star shines its fiery eye upon us. This is a gift, for only through witnessing true and lingering pain can one achieve communion with the glory that is the Bale-Star.
Tenets of Faith
Bringing a slow, painful and deliberate death to another is the greatest gift one can present to the Bale-Star
