Birth of the Jedi Order
FoundingThe Jedi were an order of ancient origins, having been present in the galaxy for over one thousand generations. Originally established at the first Jedi Temple on Ahch-To by the Prime Jedi, the Jedi Order established numerous sites throughout the galaxy on Coruscant, Ossus, Tython, and Jedha. The Jedi eventually came to align with the democratic Galactic Republic and owed their allegiance to the Galactic Senate.

Defeat of the Zygerrian Empire
Military actionA conflict was fought by the Jedi Order against the Zygerrian Slave Empire to end their slaving operations after they were outlawed in Republic space. Their defeat left many Zygerrians such as Darts D'Nar and Atai Molec with a seething hatred of the Jedi.

The Great Hyperspace War
Military actionAccording to the myths, the Great Hyperspace War was initiated when the Sith Empire invaded the planet Empress Teta, formerly Koros Major, which had recently been conquered by Empress Teta. After the outbreak of the Great Hyperspace War, Teta supposedly worked alongside the Jedi Order to fight against the Sith, successfully driving back the Sith Lord Naga Sadow and scattering the Sith forces across the galaxy. The Jedi Master Ooroo was involved in the Great Hyperspace War, perishing at some point during the conflict. While the inhabitants of Empress Teta presented the events of the Qel-Droma Epics, including the Great Hyperspace War, as historical fact, archaeological expeditions failed to verify the legends.

Defeat of the Sith
Military actionDuring a war against the Jedi Order, the Sith took control of the planet Coruscant, the capital world of the Old Republic. During their occupation, the Sith constructed a shrine over a dark-side vergence on the planet. The Jedi laid a siege to the shrine, burning it to its foundations and defeating the Sith. After this substantial victory, the Jedi build a new temple over the remains of the Sith shrine, in an attempt to rid the planet of Sith energy, and pledge their service to the galaxy as enforcers of peace in the newly formed "Galactic Republic."
