Dormaeu Arch (Incomplete)

Dormeau Arch is a transportation device used by the Dormeau -- specifically, the Dormeau Archwalker.
The Arch functions by converting energy (4 gWh) provided by a fusion crystal into a wormhole between two arches. The connection is established by using a programmed combination to inform the arch which connection will be activated, in much the same way as dialing a telephone number or typing in an email address.
The primary system of arches extends from Dormeau in towards the center of the Universe. Earth is 5 years from Dormeau by Arch. From Earth, a five-year burst would be the wormhole that would take them to outer-fringe worlds in the system, like Tophet's world. (because they explored inward to the center of the galaxy, first... so earth 5 years by Arch from Tophet's world or any of the worlds on the same temporal plane as his world.
There are a few worlds out past Tophet's world, temporolinearly, from Earth towards the outer reaches of the Universe -- but you can only get through those via new arches existing on Tophet's world. The old arches used for the earlier explorations don't have combinations set for the worlds that are heading into the outer reaches of the Universe from Tophet's world. So it is a case of 'it's there, but you can't get there from here'.
