Dormaeu Archwalker (Dor MEW Archwalker)

The Dormaeu Archwalker is a subset of the Dormaeu race, from a world somewhere near to the center of a cluster galaxy some forty million light years from Earth. The culture of the Dormaeu is well established, existing in a both technologically and socially advanced culture for tens of millions of years before humans even walked upright on the Earth.

They are, in fact, shapeshifters, and capable of appearing as a member of the primary communicating species of any of the Arch Worlds.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The Archwalkers have the capacity to manipulate energy and move forward and backward in time through the use of energy Arches, which, in essence, create 'cloned' bodies for them at each arrival point, into which their consciousness, which moves at quantum speeds, is then interjected as they exit the Arch.
The Arches were never meant to carry physical bodies through -- which may become a problem down the road for the humans who found and are attempting to use one for that purpose.

Civilization and Culture

Naming Traditions

Most Dormeu are known by a single name, which is absolutely unique to them. Buds are not named until they have matured into their social maturity -- about twenty to thirty years after budding. They select their own name at that time.
Dormeu Archwalkers select a name at random from the culture that they appear in. The name is selected to draw no attention to the Archwalker, and to allow them to blend perfectly into the culture. Most sapient beings see what they expect to see, so there is little about an Archwalker that appears... unexpected.

Average Technological Level

The Dormeu have an exceedingly advanced technology, orders of magnitude greater than human capacity. The Archwalkers' technology is an expression of the most advanced experimental and research work done by the race, and is intended as a mechanism to understand the Universe at its points of greatest quantum diversity.

History

Dormeu society has existed for almost six hundred million years. The Archwalker variant has existed for about 175 million years.
