Sanimar

The elusive forest.

Created by SpelloJello.
“See you tomorrow, Papa!”   Those were the last words I heard my son speak. I’ve been lost in this forest for days now, and I’m beginning to run out of food and water. I heard that it houses plants that no man has ever seen before so I was hoping to take some samples to study in the laboratory, but I’m losing the will to carry on. I want to go home. I need to go home.

Geography

Sanimar consists of 3 layers, Hell, Midland, and Heaven. The first and outer layer, Hell, consists of large trees that reach up to 50ft tall and cast dark, impenetrable shadow onto the ground below. Midland takes the appearance of a normal forest, host to a variety of Flora and Fauna. Heaven is the most beautiful of all the layers. Situated at the very centre of the forest it can take months to reach. Often referred to as an Oasis, it is where species such as the Broccolians, Cauliflorans and Bananans seek refuge to avoid other species killing them. No man has ever been there before, only legends can say what it looks like.
There has only one official venture into the forest. The party was a group of 7, three wizards, two thieves turned adventurers, and two warriors. They never left. The thought behind the adventure was to make a camp inside “Hell” and to create a colony to eventually progress through each of the layers to even get a glance at “Heaven”. The reason they never made it out was due to the fact that the sentient species inhabiting the forest laid complex traps for intruders. They now possess the weapons and armour that the party entered with, allowing them to create stronger defences and eventually make armour and weapons of their own.
