Broccolian
Basic Information
Anatomy
Mutated from the broccoli plant, they take a semi-humanoid shape enlarged by the broccoli stalk bulk.
Genetics and Reproduction
Broccolians have no genetic relation to eachother other than the fact that they are all mutated broccoli. They have developed a system of “incubating” broccoli plants and growing them into broccolian children.
Growth Rate & Stages
It takes approximately eight months for a baby broccolian to grow into a child broccolian, and a year for a child to grow into an adult. The average life expectancy of a broccolian is 45 years.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Broccolians do not “eat” as such, but absorb nutrients from the air as they move.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Broccolians have extremely toned down senses. They are very short sighted and have very clouded hearing.
Civilization and Culture
Beauty Ideals
Broccolians are very strict about presentation. They believe that anything other than neatly trimmed hair is a sign of disrespect, and that the majority of the body must be covered by clothing.
History
The broccolian species were originally created after a broccoli plant was left growing for several years, and it grew into a humanoid shape and developed sentience.
Scientific Name
Brassica oleracea sentient.
Lifespan
45 human years, 90 broccolian years.
Conservation Status
There are many broccolians in existence, however they are extremely slow minded, meaning they are very clumsy.
Average Height
1’1” - 2’1”.
Average Weight
2kg - 5kg.
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
For every 5 broccolian years they grow another layer of membrane, resulting in a ring shaped marking at the base of their “feet”.
