Aurora

Aurora is the biggest of all the airships in the falling city. It's made to house a full crew of explorers as they try to find any surviving parts of the world outside of the falling city.

Layout

Aurora is one of the biggest airships in the falling city, originally constructed as a way to move tropes during the war. Now it has been redesigned to house researchers and explorers, tasked with trying to find out more about The abyss and learn if the collapse may be stopped. The fairly modest crew cabins are located at the center, near the engines to save on energy producing heat. Two storage rooms, one in the front and one in the back hold all the supplies needed for the sometimes monthlong expeditions.

Mission

Aurora's main mission is to gather knowledge that might help to stop the collapse, or at least delay it. The airship also makes regular trips in search of any lands that still haven't fallen, as far out as supplies last and winds don't make them stray too far off course.

Crew

The amount of people aboard the Aurora varies heavily from mission to mission. The standing crew however consists of 5 people, 4 maintance workers and 1 captain. The maintanance workers make sure the engines on the Aurora are in shape and ready to deal with the strong winds experienced over the abyss. They also occasioanlly help the captain out with steering, and cover the nights so the captain is able to sleep. Outside of the standing crew, any number of researchers and explorers can be found on board. The max capacity of the Aurora is 15 researchers along the standard crew, not counting in any additional equipment.
