In the deepest depths of the darkness of the Shadowlands lies the Obsidian Gorge, the center of the Shadow Court and seat of the Shadow King. The city is built at the top of the bottomless chasm known as the Echoing Depths, where the spirit Terrum dwells. Both wild and court Shadow fae live in the city, constantly striving to outmatch each other. The Shadow King lets his subjects do as they please provided they obey his commands.
