In place of hair he had a swell of bristles that continued on down his neck and under his clothes. His face was slightly fuzzy with fur and his nose twitched without his control it seemed. Nál is the Ash Low manservant and aide to the 3rd Ash Prince, Athan Underdall. He is unflinchingly loyal and devoted to the young prince, who was 66 when Nál came into his service and only just started to gain influence as royal. 
Nál was born to an aristocratic Ash Fae family, making him a suitable aide to a prince but unlike other nobles of the Southern Territories, Nál is not a schemer nor is he cunning and devious like most other Ash Fae. He is blindly loyal and would never dream of betraying Athan. He is actually quite naïve and gullible in comparison to other members of his family who have in the past, attempted to convince Nál to stab the 3rd prince in the back for his own gain and advancement.
In contrast Nál is extremely protective of the Prince, whom he has watched grow and develop from a young age even before he began working for him. His loyalty is so deep in fact, that Nál has even considered sharing his true name with his master and liege as, in his eyes, there is no order Athan could give that Nál would not follow already.

Nal is not confident. He is well trained in the etiquette of court life in the South, being the servant of a prince and he can maneuver in society fairly well without causing insult or misstep but he is shy in doing so and prefers to avoid social interaction if he can.

Mannerisms

Nal is quite meek and timid. His manner is a twitchy and hesitant and the only times he can break from this is in defence of his liege, Prince Athan, whom he loves dearly and is unwaveringly loyal to.
