Resistance Spell in The Extended Perkinsverse | World Anvil

Resistance

If you are purely pacifistic and find yourself in melee often (already not a winning combination.) then I suppose there is a case for taking this cantrip. Personally, your action and your concentration is better spent on other spells. If you are so afraid of someone failing a saving throw then perhaps you can give them advantage or heal them if they fail. Bless allows you to add 1d4 to more than just saving throws, target more people and lasts longer than just the next saving throw. If you aren't taking it for a very niche reason then don't take it at all.

Effect

You touch one willing creature. Once before the spell ends, the target can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to one saving throw of its choice. It can roll the die before or after the saving throw. The spell then ends.

Manifestation

This spell could manifest as a shimmering shield, a field of energy or just particularly good luck at the last posible moment.
