You hurl a bubble of Acid. Pretty simple spell really.

Effect

Choose one creature within range, or choose two creatures within range that are within 5 feet of each other. A target must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 1d6 acid damage.
This spell's damage increases by 1d6 when you reach 5th level (2d6), 11th level (3d6) and 17th level (4d6).

Side/Secondary Effects

As the spell resolves, the acid conjured by the spell magically disappears.

Manifestation

Depending on who and how this spell is cast, this spell could be a single bubble of acid floating through the air to its target, or it could be a spray or a jet arcing out from the caster. The spell could also manifest as a burst appearing on the target and spraying out.
