Yrsa, the Frostmother
Yrsa, The Frostmother, was one of the most brutal of the Eldfell Konungr, ruling from her frozen fortress of Isafjall deep within the icy wastes. Mortals enslaved under her rule were forced to carve out her kingdom from glaciers and ice cliffs, enduring freezing conditions under her merciless gaze. She imposed a harsh code of survival, casting out those too weak to withstand her cruel reign.
In her slumber, Yrsa's resting form resembles an enormous glacier, blending into the frozen landscape. Entire valleys have formed around her, unknowingly shaped by the ice giant’s magic. Her presence continues to influence the surrounding land, and the icy rage within her is a constant reminder that she may one day rise again, reshaping the frozen south in her image.
