Session 002 - Dropping Below Zero: Part 2
General Summary
Before the adventurers can fully comprehend the chilling events surrounding Gryst’s death, their uneasy peace is shattered when the camp is once again set upon—this time by a vicious assault from ice spirits. The ethereal, frost-covered apparitions wreak havoc, freezing everything in their path. In the chaos, several members of the caravan, including Nal Stoz, are abducted. The heroes spring into action, tracking the spirits’ frosty trail through the snow. Their pursuit leads them deep into the wilderness, where they uncover a hidden cave—its entrance barely visible amid the icy cliffs.
Inside the cave, the adventurers are horrified to find the lifeless bodies of those taken, all victims of a terrible fate. The scene grows even darker as they realize the source of the attacks: a malevolent hag, twisted by dark magic, who had been using the spirits to carry out her grisly work. The heroes engage in a fierce battle with the hag, narrowly defeating her and bringing an end to her reign of terror.
With the immediate threat dealt with, they return to Isvinne’s Rest to recover from the harrowing ordeal. After a brief respite, the adventurers resume their journey, steeling themselves for the next leg of their travels to Svarholt.
