Samira, formerly a Master of the Discipline of Dust of the Shemsu-Ra is a brilliant academic, and has an interest in the occult. She spent her life gaining expertise in the peoples and cultures of the region surrounding Y'Matara.
By the age of twenty-four, Samira Ament graduated from the Obelisk Academy considered an expert in anthropology. Her ability to connect local archaeological objects with their culture context was unrivaled, so after her graduation, Samira Ament became a teacher at the Obelisk Academy and a field scholar, accompanying members of the Shemsu-Ra groups on digs in the area.
