Nishara Mistwood
During the events of Session I - The Witchlight Carnival! Nishara Mistwood is a Kalashtar druid who lost her sense of fashion and must knock before entering any room or door. She handed over her ticket to a child and later received a new ticket with the pact that she must carry a small pumpkin as if it were a precious egg. Nishara caught a sycamore seed and gave it to Myrtle Shellback. She successfully caught a faerie dragon on her first attempt, winning a bottle of Witchlight Wine and a replica unicorn filled with candy. In the goblin wrestling event, Nishara easily pinned a goblin, winning another bottle of Witchlight Wine. Nishara won the staring contest with the cyclops by causing it to blink when a butterfly passed by, earning a Cuddly Toy Spider. During a rat attack, Nishara killed the last rat with Poison Spray. She selected the purple snail High Road for the snail race but did not win. Nishara guessed the number of feathers on a cockatrice correctly, winning another bottle of Witchlight Wine. She attempted the ring toss game but failed. After seeing two girls fighting over a crown, Nishara crafted another crown for them, but they screamed at her, and she angrily crushed the crown.
During the events of Session II - The Crowning of the Monarch Nishara took on the pixie name Cotton Candy during the group's visit to Pixie Kingdom and was caught early in the hide and seek game. She participated in the Whack-a-Mole game and used her druid magic to create candy rocks that she used to attack the mimic. At the Lost Property area, Nishara helped calm the situation with Dirlagraun by crafting flowers for the children. She showed the displacer beast a black feather, learning it belonged to Kettlesteam. Nishara succeeded in the gondola ride, impressing Feathereen and learning valuable information about Candlefoot and Palasha. She laughed uncontrollably after encountering Tasha's mannequin in the Hall of Illusions, which hindered the group's search for Rubin Sugarwood. Nishara was crowned the Witchlight Monarch during the carnival’s grand event and was the first to step through the mirror to Hither after receiving guidance from Mister Witch and Mister Light.
During the events of Session III - The Slanty Tower Nishara attempts to greet the Lornlings upon arrival but is met with hostility, leading to a battle. She transforms into a panther using Wild Shape and attacks the Lornlings, delivering a critical hit and significant damage. Nishara is hit by a dagger during the fight and later reverts to her original form after being grappled by a Giant Constrictor Snake. She manages to break free from the grapple and provides healing to Wirth, reviving him after he falls unconscious. Nishara tries to calm Lorna, the Lornling, but when that fails, she attempts to sneak past her, which also fails. During the confrontation, Nishara accidentally constricts Myrtle while trying to attack Lorna and ends up being draped around Myrtle's neck. After Lorna escapes, Nishara heals Myrtle after she impales herself while trying to extract a serpent's tooth. Nishara also helps the party set up camp for the night and contributes to finding water.
During the events of Session IV - The Missing Firbolg Nishara offers food to Jingle Jangle and gives up her baby teeth to Agdon Longscarf as payment for safe passage. She transforms into a brown bear to help rescue Gahr from the bog and later into a fearsome beast to fight the Merrows, although she misses with her bite. Nishara takes the lead in questioning Agdon Longscarf and later asks the Bullywugs about Wirth, discovering his location in the Soggy Court. She also helps put out the fires in the balloon factory, killing an animated coal. Nishara successfully convinces King Gullop XIX to allow the party to continue their journey after a note is intercepted by the king.
During the events of Session V - The Loss of a Friend Nishara transforms into a bear to try and rescue Morgot during the proving ground battle, only to be thwarted by Merrows. She frees Wirth from his chains by biting them, only to discover that Wirth was an illusion. In Trinket and Bauble’s shop, Nishara purchases a mug but accidentally breaks it due to her bear strength. She becomes frustrated with the shopkeepers and tries to intimidate them, though unsuccessfully. During the battle with the tree, Nishara’s bear claw gets stuck, leading to a series of mishaps. Tragically, the next day, Myrtle discovers Nishara’s lifeless body, and the party buries her beneath the tree, marking the end of the Witchlight Monarch.
During the events of Session I: The Lich-Queen's Begotten a variant of Nishara was present. Nishara played a critical role in the group’s battle against the Mindflayers in Waterdeep, quickly acting to unleash a powerful Thunderwave that dealt significant damage to the enemies. Later, after the battle, Nishara conjured a Heroes' Feast, providing the group with much-needed vitality and fortitude for the challenges ahead. During the journey to the astral plane, Nishara transformed into an Earth elemental to combat the Githyanki guards in the bunker, demonstrating adaptability and strength. In the dreamscape, Nishara took on the role of Eric the Mighty, using immense strength to break through a formidable tower door. As they continued their adventure, Nishara melted away a fleshy growth on a cavern door with flame, showcasing both destructive power and quick thinking. However, their inclination towards destruction was evident when they burned everything in sight after discovering the peculiar classroom with the young Githyanki girl. In the final battle against the astral dreadnought, Nishara summoned creatures to aid in the fight, but despite their efforts, the group struggled against the powerful foe. Nonetheless, Nishara’s contributions were vital to the group's success, though the challenges they faced tested their resolve.
