Aldyth Tharnaerl
During the events of Session I: The Wolves of Langston, Aldyth arrived at the town of Langston after a long journey and was soon confronted by wolves, which were driven away by a dwarf named Roi Sunderhammer. Aldyth then made his way to an inn called The Pickled Hen, where he learned about the recent death of a young woman named Maybelline. Commissioned by Mayor Tanya Anathram, Aldyth began investigating Maybelline's murder, starting with questioning her fiancé, Tomlin, and discovering signs of a supernatural threat.
Aldyth encountered various creatures and solved puzzles, including dealing with scraplings in Tomlin's garden and battling a stirge in the forest. He helped cure Roi, who had been afflicted with Polypox, and received a magical brooch and weapon in return. Aldyth's investigation led him to uncover that the cleric Solaine was responsible for Maybelline's death, having turned into a werewolf. After a tense confrontation in the town square, Aldyth used the Silverstar to reverse Solaine's transformation, bringing her to justice.
Following this, Aldyth continued to assist the town with various tasks, including combating undead creatures and uncovering dark enchantments connected to Maybelline. He eventually discovered that Maybelline had used pact magic to manipulate Tomlin. As Solaine escaped from her jail cell, Aldyth prepared for whatever challenges lay ahead, knowing that Langston's mysteries were far from over.
During the events of Session XI - The Knight and the Paladin Aldyth is a sun elf Eldritch Knight who arrives at Loomlurch alongside Bahr Reigh. The party warms to Aldyth, finding him a welcome addition to their ranks as they explore Skabatha’s domain and work to free the trapped children.
During the events of Session XII - The Massacre of Loomlurch Aldyth engages in a fierce battle with a tin soldier, demonstrating his combat prowess as he fights alongside the party against multiple adversaries, including the Shambling Mound, skeletons, and Skabatha Nightshade. Despite his valiant efforts, Aldyth ultimately meets his end during the chaotic confrontation. After his death, his body mysteriously disappears in a burst of magic, leaving the party to wonder about his fate.
